Okay, I get it. Another person telling people what they think about certain couples. But bare with me, because I have my theories and you have yours. And I think we should share them. I know it's super long, I'm sorry. I hope you can read through it though.
Toby w/ Nellie & Pam[]
I feel bad for Toby. He has had trouble with women for a long time. I think Toby and Pam would've been sort of cute. But of course, Jim and Pam are soul mates. So while I could never curse or downplay Jim and Pam's relationship, Toby deserves love of some kind. Then comes Nellie. I'm proud of Toby for actually asking her out. And I think Nellie was kind of cold to Toby in later seasons just because Toby had a crush on her. Like, I mean, I have nothing against rejecting someone you don't like. I mean, seriously, that's how it works. I do it all the time. But Nellie was cold after that just because she doesn't like him. Toby is just a sad, sad, man, who wants a consistent purpose in life. Not to mention, if I was Toby, I would want my daughter to have another constant parent.
Erin and Pete OR Erin and Andy OR Erin and Gabe[]
First things first, let's get this over with, Gabe was a gross creeper stalker boyfriend and no one can change my opinion on that. Erin and Andy were cute at first. Andy did love Erin. He drove to Florida just to tell her that he loved her. I love the relationship on-and-off throughout the show, but eventually, the writers had to make a decision. And when Andy's family started crumbling, Andy and Erin's relationship did too. Which of course, isn't completely his fault. But the relationship had been so on-and-off that a decision had to be made. When the writers decided Erin and Andy would break up, they probably started pointing fingers at who she could date next. And then there is Pete. Overall, they deserved to be with each other. Erin wasn't in love with Andy anymore. Pete cared about her before she and Andy broke up, whether it was Clark masterminding a plan to have her alone in his apartment, or her history with Gabe (ew). I hope nowadays in the Office that Erin and Pete are somewhere, married, with a family together.
Jim and Karen or Pam[]
The first thing I want to get out here, I don't think either Pam or Karen did anything wrong. If anything is wrong here, it's how Jim didn't tell the truth about his previous feelings for Pam to Karen. Now, I don't think that Jim is a bad person or anything, and I would do the same thing in his shoes, but he hurt Karen's feelings by keeping secrets like that. Karen did nothing wrong, but I think, as a Jam (PB & J) fan, I obviously want Jim and Pam to be together in the end. But I think both Jim and Pam were unfair to Jim. There is a deleted scene when Karen takes down and rips one of Pam's drawing flyers. This is about the only thing that makes me not like Karen. I think Karen is funny and I don't hate her... but I don't want Pam having a broken heart either. I'm glad that Karen ended up having a family and I'm happy that she and Pam ended up on a good note. They were really good friends. Overall, Pam and Jim deserved each other, but the Office didn't serve Justice to Karen's character either.
Darryl and Val[]
That's right. I'm covering all the bases, here. So naturally I'm covering Val and Darryl. I love their relationship, especially when they both knew it wasn't okay. I don't encourage cheating of course, but I'm not sure that's what was going on. It's just like Pam and Jim, flirting even though Val had a boyfriend. I know Val never wanted to cheat on Brandon, and she never did, but I'm glad that Darryl told her how he felt early on. I think that shows how much he cared about her. I mean, when he was lifting the weights with Dwight, he showed exactly how much he wanted her to be his. I didn't like that when Darryl started in Athlead, he wanted to break up with her. That really made me think less of their relationship. But I'm glad they still got back together and I'm happy that they were together in the finale. I hope that they're married today and living in Austin with Jim and Pam.
Michael and Jan OR Donna OR Holly[]
For Michael being Michael... he was quite the ladies man. First off, Jan. Jan and Michael's relationship is HILARIOUS! Jan and Michael are complete opposites. I feel bad for Michael in that relationship, though. We all have been in those relationships where we either feel like we don't hold any power or don't have anything in common with them. I love that the writers of the show made those relationships the mascot of Jan and Michael's. However, while their relationship was funny, I hated that Jan spiraled and got obsessed with Michael. It was obvious that she would do anything for Michael, including changing herself. She was clearly simping towards the end. I don't ship them in general, mostly because I want Michael to be happy. I love the life he has with Holly- the kids he always wanted. Jan would not have given that life to Michael. Which brings me to Holly, Holly is the most perfect person for Michael in my opinion. She was not only just as much a dork as Michael, but she was also the voice of reason that I could see Michael needing in the future. Holly and Michael loved each other and were absolute soul mates. That's as simple as I can put it. And then there is Donna. Now, as I said, I don't encourage cheating at all, or having affairs, so Donna didn't rub off on me the way I wanted. She was nice at first, but when we realized she had a husband, I respected her a lot less. If you are currently married or dating someone and have a crush or relationship with someone else, I do encourage you to either break up with them or divorce, or just be honest in general. I don't endorse what role Donna plays.
Stanley and his many Mistresses[]
AGAIN: I don't endorse cheating or having affairs by any means.
I love Stanley's character, because he has such an iconic lifestyle. But I don't care for the cheating. However, I do kind of think Sylvia and Stanley could be nice together, but Stanley just seems to want to be that player. I feel bad for the fact that Michel leaked his affair, because I think if you have that issue, you should be able to end it on your own, without being forced. I don't care for the fact that they stayed together afterwards though. Cheating is a moral issue, but it shouldn't define who you are. SO if you are in a similar problem, I encourage you to end it. Thanks.
Angela and Dwight OR Andy Or The (State) Senator OR Dwight and Isabell OR Dwight and Esther[]
I'm going to just put it out here, Dwight and Angela are such a cute couple in the end. But lets not just completely disregard the many women and men that they had histories with before. Dwight and Isabell were a couple that I can imagine in some other world. It would be funny if they got married so Jim and Pam would be related to Dwight, but I just don't see the emotional connection between Dwight and Isabell. Because that's what love is, it's not just a physical attraction, but knowing each other and being able to laugh and cry and smile together. And Dwight and Isabell don't quite have that history. I didn't find Andy and Angela really that cute together, mostly because of what was happening in the background with Dwight. He just loved her so much. Andy and Angela were never meant to be together. Angela was just revenge dating him, and then it spiraled into engagement. Angela and the Senator were almost a perfect match. I couldn't see the emotional OR physical connection between them (because you know, he was gay) but I think overall, the Senator seemed more tolerable of Angela's tightly wound attitude. I know that Angela loved him, but the Senator did not love Angela. And it didn't take rocket science to notice that. Once she got rejected by the Senator, she definitely realized she had made a big mistake. Esther and Dwight were a nice couple, but when you have watched the Office for nine seasons and are just waiting for Dwight and Angela to get back together, you give zero crap about their relationship. I think Angela was smart when she rejected Dwight's proposal offer and raising of her son. I'm glad that they got married and I can only imagine the life they have nowadays.
Kelly and Ryan OR Ravi[]
Now, The moment you've been waiting for! Ryan and Kelly! What are my views on their relationship? Simple. Completely and totally ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, it's super iconic and sort of cute. But then... there was Ravi. While Ryan and Kelly were cute, as soon as Ravi steps into the picture, I can see it getting a lot more complicated. Ravi and Kelly would've been cute together. I feel bad for Ravi. In the finale, they were engaged or maybe even married! For Kelly to just throw that away for a guy who was horrible to her immediately, is just sad to me. I think they would've been cute together. However, I think it is obvious that in the end, Ryan is in love with Kelly, unlike so many times before. I do believe he mastered commitment and that he loved her more than just a physical connection. I heavily ship.
Ryan and Erin[]
Okay fine. I kind of just made this one up. But I really, really loved the semi-flirtatiousness when they went to Florida. Like Omg. I don't know. Let me know your opinions.
Okay, I know that was a lot of reading to do, but I'm glad you stuck with me and read through my opinions. What are your guys' opinions? Let me know if I missed any couples that you want me to cover! Byeeeeee!
