This is no longer just about Erin and Pete because I have strong thoughts about the ships that are both apart of the fandom, and apart of cannon. First things first. People need to stop trashing the characters that date the main characters (Karen, Isabel, and Andy with Angela), before they get married to their main love interest. I love Karen, she is an awesome character who deserves the credit that we don't give her. It's not her fault that she was dating a guy who was in love with someone who was in love with someone else. She's allowed to dislike Pam because quite honestly, Pam was a bitch when it came to Jim and Karen. It's her fault because she didn't get with Jim when he threw himself at her. Pam hit on him, knowing that he has a girlfriend, and basically said "I love you now so date me and dump your girlfriend."
Isabel. Oh my god I love her so so much! She was an awesome character and literally in a Karen situation. It's not her fault that Dwight was always in love with Angela, and she was awesome, confident, beautiful (yes, she was. no body can argue with that), smart, and just caught in a situation with a guy who has always been in love with another woman. That's not her fault. She was awesome and we need to give her more credit.
Andy and Angela. Omg weren't they a mess. Angela was obviously in the wrong because she cheated on him BUT there is also a grey area because Andy didn't really love her and only wanted to impress his parents and be able to check off being married on the How To Impress My Parents List. Although I appreciated the cute moments that they had where they acted like a real couple!
