Uncle Stan was a crowdfunded sourced web pilot by Leslie David Baker for an unofficial The Office spin-off about Stanley Hudson, though due to NBC owning the rights to the character his full name wouldn't be used in the show. The show was set to premiere in early 2021. In summer 2020, it surpassed its crowdfunding benchmark of $300,000.

In August 2023 Baker released a statement saying he was returning the donated money as the project remained stalled indefinitely following COVID delays and the ongoing strikes in Hollywood.

Official summary[]

After enjoying his retirement in Florida, carving wood, enjoying the white sand beaches, and dancing to old disco, Uncle Stan (Leslie David Baker) gets a call from his nephew Lucky in Los Angeles asking for help with his two kids and running his motorcycle/flower shop. With his business failing, his kids growing up without enough attention, and on the brink of losing his patience with the cast of characters he has working in the shop, Lucky is going to need all the help he can get from no-nonsense Uncle Stan.
