Spencer Daniels is the young actor who played Meredith son Jake in the episode "Take Your Daughter to Work Day". Beginning his acting career at ten, he has numerous television (Cold Case, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Big Love, Crash and NCIS) and film credits - including small roles in blockbusters only a few months apart in 2008-09, appearing in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button as the "younger" self of Brad Pitt's title character, and in J.J. Abrams's reboot of Star Trek as an acquaintance who adolescent James T. Kirk passes while joyriding in his step-father's 1965 Corvette (he was initially cast as Kirk's older brother - he was running away from home, and his words before leaving were what drove young Jim to steal the car - but when the scene was cut, for the one part which remained, he was made a separate character).
He is the son of executive producer Greg Daniels, and the brother of Haley Daniels, who played Abby in the same episode.
