Season 6 of The Office began on September 17, 2009 on NBC. The number of episodes ordered is yet to be disclosed. On October 8, a special one-hour special premiered, Niagara, which features Pam Beesly and Jim Halpert's wedding in Niagara Falls. Later in the season, starting with the episode "Murder," it is revealed that Dunder-Mifflin is experience financial problems. In the episode, "Secret Santa" Dunder Mifflin is bought out and David Wallace, among others at corporate, are fired.

When Michael realizes the damage he's caused, he fabricates numerous other rumors to discredit himself, including that Andy is gay (confusing Andy) and that Pam is pregnant (unknown to him that she is actually pregnant). As Michael tries to clear the air, Jim and Pam admit their rumor is true to save Stanley embarrassment. | |||||
