Synopsis

Jim is talking sports with Kevin and Darryl when he accidentally bites his lip. Jim tries not to let it affect him but it soon gets very annoying and he storms out of the interview in anger.

Pam comes in looking very tired, so tired that Erin mistakes her for Meredith. Pam explains that Jim has been in Philadelphia several days working on his new company and that she has had to take care of the kids. She also explains that Cece recently got lice and she has been working hard to disinfect everything.

Jim meanwhile is in Philadelphia and is very excited as he is about to meet Julius Erving, also known as Dr. J, a famous former NBA player. He doesn't tell any of this to Pam on the phone as he feels it would just stress her out to know he is having fun while she is working.

Darryl and Val meanwhile have just broken up. Darryl appears quite saddened however reveals he has been wanting to break up with her for awhile as he felt their relationship wasn't going anywhere and he wanted to be free to join Jim's company. He reveals the specifics for getting her to be the one to break up with him is that he jokes about breaking up and then gaining a lot of weight.

Pam asks Meredith to fill out a form she forgot to however while waiting notices Meredith furiously scratching her head. Pam becomes worried she might have brought lice into the office. Erin notices this and decides to search Meredith's scalp. Erin's suspicisons are confirmed when she realizes that Meredith has lice. Erin has had much experience with lice when she was in the foster home and knows a lot about them. She proceeds to check everyone in the office and finds everyone infected except for Dwight, Phyllis, Nellie, Kevin, and Darryl.

Jim meanwhile sits back and enjoys himself in a limo. He becomes confused when the driver drops him off at a basketball court. The driver reveals that Dr. J wanted Jim to be dropped off at his private basketball court. Jim can't help but hide a huge smile as he goes in.

Dwight comes in wearing a Hazmat suit, a suit used usually for scientists who study anything nuclear or radioactive. He orders that people without lice go down to the warehouse to continue their work while the rest of the people have a meeting on getting rid of their lice.

Pam goes into the kitchen and is shocked to see Meredith shaving off her hair. Pam feels even more guility however refuses to say anything as she is to nervous to say anything to her.

Darryl warns no one to say anything to Val while they are down there. Darryl feigns sadness whenever he see's her leading Nellie, Kevin, and Phyllis to believe that Darryl really is saddened by their breakup. They decide that they should get them back together.

Jim meets Dr. J and plays basketball with him still not believing how amazing his day is turning out to be.

Dwight and Erin discuss lice and how to get rid of them (although Dwight's methods are rather extreme). Erin explains that the best way to get rid of lice is to use mayonnaise to get rid of them. Everyone partners up (except for Dwight who accidentally pops his suit which causes him to run for cover into Andy's office). Pete and Erin partner up (much to their liking) and Pam and Creed partner up (much to Creed's dislike).

Oscar allows Angela to put mayonnaise on his head however she purposefully slops large amounts on and lets it run down his face and clothes. Pete and Erin enjoy playing around with it in the annex, and Creed abandons Pam forcing her to put it on herself.

Phyllis, Kevin, and Nellie convince Val to give Darryl another try. She finally agrees that maybe they should continue their relationship much to Darryl's annoyance. He then sadly admits to the cameras that he and Val are back together.

Dwight meanwhile has gotten a flea bomb which he plans to detonate in the office. He drops it before he can ready it however and the bomb goes off with him still in Andy's office. Dwight hallucinates before fainting.

Angela rinses the maynoaise off of Oscar's head however pours it over his face as well. When Erin gets ready to wash it off of Pete's head, he takes his shirt off revealing he is well built.

Pam is forced to put the mayonnaise on her own head, with her hands covered in it, she has to listen to her phone call on speakerphone. Her mom calls and announces that Cece's lice problem is getting better leading the whole office to realize that she is the one who got lice in the office. An angry Meredith screams for Pam to shave her head.

Pete stops by Erin's desk and asks Oscar if she went home when he finds her desk empty. Oscar shrugs and Pete seems generally saddened. Erin is actually standing near the supply shelves and notices this. Dwight meanwhile gets in his car talking about how prepared he was to deal with lice. He accidentally drops another lice bomb which detonates in his car.

Pam calls Jim again and leavs him a message. Meredith, feeling bad for Pam, asks if she wants to go get a beer. Pam admits she is impressed by Meredith's ability to have been a single mom all these years.

Pam and Meredith do kareoke at the bar and while singing off-key, appear to have a good time.
