Athleap is a sports marketing company which is a subsidiary of Converse. It was founded by Jim Halpert and his college friends as Athlead. Jim invested $10,000 of his savings into the company at the start. Athlead hired Darryl Philbin, who worked there through the end of the series. The name changed to Athleap in 2014. It was bought by Converse in 2015. Athleap's headquarters was originally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but later moved to Austin, Texas.
