I am developing a script for The Office Season 10 Episode 1, and am looking for a logical, nuanced way to bring Jim and Pam back into the story. If anybody has any ideas, I would love to hear them!
You could have Pam and Jim come back to Scranton because Athlead fired Jim. Then they would need to move back to Scranton to get more money to support their family. Or you could have it that Pam and Jim missed Scranton too much and moved back.
Jim mives back to work at schrute farms
jim gets athlead to move to Scranton
pam and jim have another baby and decide that jim is to busy at work. they go back to scranton.
After an Athleap buyout, Jim and Pam have a comfortable lifestyle, Jim has lived his dream, whilst Pam has fulfilled her offer of bargain no regrets, they neither seem characters who would chase an extravagant lifestyle so a move back to Scranton to be closer to relatives would seem attractive to them, Jim can happily return to early seasons Jim whereby he has need to climb the ladder and can be a carefree worker, Pam is a character who has shown the most personal growth season on season and would naturally gravitate towards a position of greater responsibility without it affecting her natural warmth and playfulness. Just a few silly ideas, sincerely wish you the best in your endeavours.
Jim and Pam go to Stanton for a business trip and, the see Dwight. Dwight offers high pay for working at schrute farms, and they say yes
I don’t think it has to be set in Scranton. What about The Office taking place at Athlead in Austin, where Jim has the David Wallace-eque role and offers Michael a sales role, since he’s a star sales guy. Pam and Holly have a quasi-friendship like Pam had with Angela, but centered around their kids/families and differing interests (Pam=art; Holly=Improv?).
The various characters that want to come along could be incorporated. Darryl is already there. Not sure how Dwight/Angela fit in and that is a fatal flaw, but perhaps there’s a way...
What do you think?
